The Society of Friends in Shefford
Records at Friends House in London noted in a document held at Bedfordshire & Luton Archives & Records Service [CRT170/5/3] note that a group of Quakers met in 1670 at the house of James Taylor at Shefford Hardwicke. These Friends seem to have set up a monthly meeting based at Langford in 1709, where a meeting house had been built by 1723.
